The first Forum for the EUSAIR Youth Council will bring important session and the opportunity for networking
Titled “Empowering Youth for a Brighter Adriatic-Ionian Future: Introducing the EUSAIR Youth Council” the inauguration networking session will take place during the second day of the 10th EUSAIR Annual FORUM in Gorgioupolis which will take place on 6th and 7th of May. The event will touch all important challenges and opportunities for youth in the Adriatic-Ionian Region including the role and possibilities of the EUSAIR and Youth Council to contribute to o support young people.
The Adriatic-Ionian Region has long struggled with complex identities, socio-economic factors, and other challenges that have led to significant youth migration. As young people leave for opportunities elsewhere in Europe and beyond, the region suffers from brain drain, placing immense pressure on local economies.
The panellists at the session will explore key challenges facing young people, including employment and education accessibility, while also discussing opportunities such as entrepreneurship.
Whole idea of the Youth Council is strengthening youth participation in regional activities and decision-making, highlighting how engagement in various initiatives can contribute to a more sustainable and prosperous future for the region. So, the discussion will focus on how EUSAIR can support and empower young people in addressing these challenges.
After the discussion representatives of youth initiatives, projects, and organizations working in Adriatic and Ionian Region will have an opportunity to build up their influence through networking with EYC members, participants, and stakeholders.
