PRESS RELEASE – 10th Thematic Steering Group meeting for Pillar 3 – “Environmental Quality”
ZAGREB, 13-14 March 2019
The 10th meeting of the Thematic Steering Group for Pillar 3 - "Environmental Quality" of the EU Strategy for the Adriatic-Ionian Region (EUSAIR), known also as EUSAIR TSG3, was attended by seven participating countries of the EUSAIR.
During the 1st day of the meeting, the participants agreed on the main theme for the TSG3 panel session that will be held at the 4th EUSAIR Forum in Budva, Montenegro on 7-8 May 2019. Furthermore, the participants aproved the TSG3 Annual report 2018 and reviewed the TSG3 priorities that are under preparation according to the Discussion paper of Catania declaration. The document for monitoring and evaluation process of the EUSAIR was presented and the issue of data gathering from the non-EU countries was stressed out. The 2nd day of the meeting focused on the revision of the TSG3 macro-regional projects, their logical frameworks and identification of next steps in their development - in this regard. The participants also discussed the submission of the two inter-pillar macro-regional projects to the Facility Point Plus instrument; the TSG 3/4 ''Managing Tourism Flows in Protected Areas (ADRIONet)'' and the TSG 1/3 “Using high quality Research to strengthen Dialogue and institutional Capacities for effective implementation of MSP/ICZM in support of inclusive and sustainable growth in the AIR”.
The meeting was very successful and partners have already started with the implementation of the TSG3 meeting's operational conclusions.
