Conference “THE MARITIME WESTERN SILK ROAD OPPORTUNITIES”, Venice, 20 January 2018
On 20 January 2018, Venice hosted a conference titled »THE EUSAIR MACROREGIONAL STRATEGY FOR TOURISM AND TRANSPORT: THE MARITIME WESTERN SILK ROAD OPPORTUNITIES«. The conference was organized by the Italian Presidency of the EUSAIR strategy and took place in parallel with the inauguration of the Europe China Tourism Year.
Prominent speakers from China and EUSAIR countries participated at the event, including the Minister for Territorial Cohesion and Southern Italy, Claudio De Vincenti, who delivered his closure key notes.
The Conference focused on the development of the cruise infrastructures in the eight countries of the EUSAIR macro-region (Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Greece, Albania, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia) with the main purpose to encourage the debate on developing and promoting the whole Adriatic-Ionian macro-region as an integral part of the Maritime Silk Road and Chinese Tourism initiatives.
