Climate Hour 2021
Take some time to promote a healthy Alpine climate on World Environment Day on 5th June!
All of us can take small actions to better protect the climate in the Alps – and what better way to be inspired to act for climate protection than by joining other people and organisations that are just as passionate about a healthy climate in the Alps?
This is exactly what the Climate Hour wants to achieve: bringing people together, showcasing diverse climate activities in the Alps and inspiring local action.
On World Environment Day on 5th June 2021, the Swiss Presidency of the Alpine Convention will launch the first edition of the Climate Hour in cooperation with the Permanent Secretariat of the Alpine Convention. For this event, partners from all Alpine countries organise local events on climate action in the Alps.
All formats and ideas dedicated to a healthy Alpine climate are welcome. The intent is to a flourishing range of Climate Hour events all across the Alps!
If you want your climate event to appear on the event map, please send it to alpineconvention@are.admin.ch.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the focus of the first Climate Hour will lie on a small number of events, spread across the Alps, taking place outside where possible and with a reduced number of people in compliance with local rules and sanitary measures.
Partners organising Climate Hour events will receive flyers and other materials that can be used to promote their event.
