AI-NURECC PLUS Initiative Questionnaire
AI-NURECC PLUS is conducting a circular economy study of the Adriatic-Ionian region to identify opportunities and challenges for further development and implementation of the circular transition.
The circular economy is one of the main priorities of the European Commission, as highlighted in the Circular Economy Action Plan and the European Green Deal. Furthermore, the circular transition is of paramount importance for the EUSAIR region to tackle the environmental, societal, and economic challenges the region is facing. The need for a circular economy has been also highlighted by the recent need for increased resilience, resource security and sustainability.
In the framework of AI-NURECC PLUS*, a circular economy study of the Adriatic-Ionian region is being conducted. The study aims to produce an overview of the status of the circular economy in the Adriatic-Ionian region while identifying opportunities, and challenges and providing recommendations for further development and implementation of the circular transition.
For this purpose, a wide array of stakeholders from the Adriatic-Ionian basin are invited to answer this questionnaire. Survey responses will be treated to write the preliminary results of the study which will be presented at the 8th Annual EUSAIR Forum 2023, in Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina), from 23 to 25 May 2023. The report of the study is foreseen to be finalised by the end of July 2023.
Please see below the link to the online survey and send us your contribution to the questionnaire by Monday 12 June 2023.
* The Adriatic Ionian Network of Universities, Regions, Chambers of Commerce and Cities Initiative PLUS (AI-NURECC PLUS) is a preparatory action financed by DG REGIO that will capitalise on the results of the AI-NURECC Initiative, ended in December 2019.
This project is coordinated by the CPMR in partnership with four stakeholders from the area: the Adriatic Ionian Euroregion (AIE), the Forum of Adriatic and Ionian Cities (FAIC), the Forum of the Adriatic and Ionian Chambers of Commerce (FORUM AIC), and the Association of Universities of the Adriatic Ionian area (UniAdrion).
The AI-NURECC PLUS partners have joined their efforts to support the EU Strategy for the Adriatic and Ionian Sea Region (EUSAIR) implementation, ensuring deep and broad territorial coverage while enhancing Regional and Local Authorities’ appropriation of the EUSAIR main objectives and opportunities in the EUSAIR cross-pillar topics: “Research and Innovation”, “SMEs Development”, and “Skills Development”. AI-NURECC PLUS will therefore support entrepreneurship, transnational clusters, and digital innovation hubs activities for the EUSAIR.
