A Subsidy contract for the implementation of the EUSAIR Facility Point project has entered into force
On the 9th of October 2017, a subsidy contract for the implementation of the EUSAIR Facility Point strategic project entered into force. The contract was signed between the Emilia Romagna Region, Italy, acting as managing authority of the Adriatic-Ionian Transnational Cooperation Program Interreg ADRION 2014-2020 and the Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy, Slovenia, acting as lead partner of the EUSAIR Facility Point strategic project .
The contract serves as a legal reference for the implementation of the project. The EUSAIR Facility Point is now formally entrusted to manage and coordinate supporting activities for the implementation of the EU macroregional strategy for the Adriatic-Ionian region (EUSAIR strategy).
The EUSAIR Facility Point is a project partnership of ministries from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Greece, Italy, Montenegro, Serbia and Slovenia, where the Government office for Development and European Cohesion Policy acts as a lead partner and the Municipality of Izola as project partner. The duration of a project is from 2016 until 2022.
The aim of the project is to strengthen the institutional capacity of public authorities for efficient coordination and implementation of the EUSAIR strategy. The support is targeted to the organization of events, development of strategic project concepts and identifying funding opportunities, development of a virtual platform for the exchange of information and ideas among stakeholders, communication and setting the framework for monitoring and evaluating of the EUSAIR strategy.
