Accelerating climate change adaptation in the Adriatic-Ionian Region
The Hellenic Presidency of the Adriatic-Ionian Region (EUSAIR) for 2024–2025, in collaboration with the Hellenic Ministry of Environment and Energy, the Hellenic Ministry of Economy and Finance, and the Region of Ionian Islands, cordially invites you to jointly accelerate climate change adaptation in the Adriatic-Ionian Region.
The event aims to bring together all key adaptation stakeholders and trigger urgent action to improve climate resilience in the Adratic-Ionian Region. It will allow for an in-depth exchange of views of the EUSAIR countries, as well as EU and UN institutions and financial actors. Emphasis will be placed on sharing challenges, experiences and good practices for climate-proofing infrastructure, support sustainable tourism and improve climate resilience of cities and communities.
It will also offer the opportunity to identify joint climate challenges, shape solutions and leverage funding to boost adaptation action through the implementation of the European Strategy and Action Plan for the Adriatic-Ionian Region.
The event is initiated by the integrated project «LIFE-IP AdaptInGR - Boosting the implementation of adaptation policy across Greece». The project is funded by the LIFE Programme of European Union and the Green Fund of Greece.
