Conference on Maritime Western Silk Road Opportunities, Venice, 20 Jan 2018
The Silk Road starts from Venice On 20 January 2018, the Ca 'Vendramin Calergi palace in Venice will host a conference titled “THE EUSAIR MACROREGIONAL STRATEGY FOR TOURISM AND TRANSPORT: THE MARITIME WESTERN SILK ROAD OPPORTUNITIES”. The conference is organized by the Italian Presidency of the EUSAIR macro-regional strategy and is taking place in parallel with the inauguration of the Europe China Tourism Year.
Prominent speakers from China and EUSAIR countries are going to participate at the event, including the Minister for Territorial Cohesion and Southern Italy, Claudio De Vincenti, who will deliver his closure key notes.
Conference's priority themes are focused on the development of Chinese tourism and the cruise infrastructures in the eight countries of the EUSAIR macro-region (Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Greece, Albania, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia) with the main purpose to encourage the debate on development and promotion of the Adriatic-Ionian region as an integral part of the Maritime Silk Road.
