Mediterranean Coast and Macro-regional Strategies Week 2022 – Registrations are OPEN!
You are kindly invited to join us at the 7th edition of the Mediterranean Coast and Macro-regional Strategies Week 2022, which will be held between 19 and 23 September 2022 under the slogan "Healthy seas for a safer future". The aim of the week is to raise awareness on the importance of the sea and its hinterland, together with their natural and economic potential, and to draw attention to the risks they face due to natural phenomena and human activities. This year's slogan "Healthy sea for a safer future" encompasses the importance of safety for everyone who lives by the sea and works with the sea.
After two years of epidemic restrictions, the event is returning from our screens back to the beautiful coast city Izola in Slovenia.
The event brings together politicians, decision-makers, experts, civil society and interested public from all levels - local, regional, national and international. We also expect participants from all participating countries of EUSAIR: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Greece, Italy, Montenegro, North Macedonia, San Marino, Serbia and of course the hosting Slovenia. Throughout the years, the event has become a real tradition in the European environment. This has been proved by annual cooperation with the Interact program, organising the event Impact stories –added value of the EU macro-regions, as well as by the participation of European Parliament's members and representatives of the European Commission. Hence, we are proud to announce keynote speakers at the Week's Official Opening to be held on Tuesday, 20 September 2022 at 11:30 am at Manzioli palace:
