EUSAIR Sustainable tourism expert chosen!

In the next 18 months, the Institute for Development and International Relations from Zagreb will act as an external expert for innovation in sustainable tourism EUSAIR Adriatic-Ionian Strategy for the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, project partner in the EUSAIR Facility Point project and coordinator for the Sustainable Tourism Thematic Steering Group.
The task of the Institute's experts will be to monitor innovative management policies of EUSAIR destinations, innovative trends in customer access and the introduction of innovative new technologies as tools of visibility and promotion. With their recommendations, the experts will create a knowledge base with answers to questions important for EUSAIR destinations:
- what are the trends in innovation in the content and interpretation of natural and cultural attractions,
- what are the trends in accommodation and accompanying facilities of the destination, and
- what are the trends in the ways of involving the population of the tourist area in the development of the destination?
For the first time, a knowledge base will be created at the EUSAIR destination level to monitor innovative destination management policies, and the recommendations can be used to develop sustainable destination management models, develop innovative tourism products, develop entrepreneurial models, support business models and enrich educational programs for tourism professionals.
The value of the contract for these activities of EUSAIR is just over EUR 13.300 without VAT, and it is financed from grants of the INTERREG ADRION program of the European Union through the EUSAIR Facility Point project.
