The Mediterranean Coast and Macro-regional Strategies Week is a series of events organized annually in Slovenian coastal towns to adress the current challenges and future potentials of the Adriatic Sea and Coast. The sea and coast are inextricably linked with the EUSAIR Strategy, therefore Slovenian institutions - as members of the EUSAIR governance structures - are playing an active role in the overall organization of the event.
Here’s a quick re-cap of the events organized by the EUSAIR key implementers and Facility Point project partners:
- The international Meeting among the EUSAIR and ESIF/IPA representatives dedicated to post-2020 discussion is happening on the 17th of September. The meeting is organized by the EUSAIR Facility Point Lead Partner.
- The next day, on the 18th of September, the EUSAIR Facility Point Lead Partner is organizing the EUSAIR Communication workshop to strengthen the communication in Adriatic-Ionian region. Both events are held in Portorož, Slovenia.
- Between the 19th-20th of September, the coastal town of Izola will host international workshop on developing EUSAIR macro-regional projects. This event is organized by the Pillar 3 of the EUSAIR Strategy.
- International conference jointly organized by the Pillar 3 and Pillar 4 of the EUSAIR Strategy will be held between the 26th-27th of September in Poreč (Croatia) and Izola (Slovenia) respectively.
- The overall coordination of the organization of the above events and the Mediterranean Coast and Macro-regional Strategies Week is entrusted to the Slovenian EUSAIR Facility Point Project partner – Municipality of Izola.
Representatives from all the 8 EUSAIR participating countries already confirmed their participation at the week. The European Commission as well as the ADRION programme will be among the attendees. The managing authorities from the Adriatic-Ionian Region agreed to join the week, as well as the representatives from the Interreg funded programs and EUSALP and EUSDR Strategies.
We have only a handful of places left. If interested, you are encouraged to look at the overall programme here and register via this link.
The deadline for registrations is 13 September 2019.
Hopefully see you soon in Slovenia!
