5th EUSAIR Financial dialogue in Slovenia
The 5th Financial dialogue meeting, organised by the EUSAIR Facility Point Project Partner Municipality of Izola, was held in Ljubljana on the 20th of January 2020.
The aim of the dialogue was to unify Slovenian positions on key, strategically important topics that will be the subject of financial support under the Partnership Agreement for the period 2021-2027.
As the previous two dialogues, this one was also set as a workshop where participants were divided in three smaller workgroups, discussing topics related to smarter and greener low carbon Europe, which shall be closer to citizens. Each group was given the task to align macro-regional contents with investment needs and priorities of the Republic of Slovenia for the period 2021-2027. They focused on reviewing the concrete macro-regional projects/priorities already identified within EUSAIR and EUSALP and tried to embed them within Slovenia’s national investment priorities.
The results show that: collaboration among national programming and macro-regional representatives is needed; as well as mapping of joint synergies of macro-regional strategies and national priorities; last but not least financial dialogues are important and needed for further development of this aligning process.
