3SI Slovenia 2019 and EU Macro-regional Strategies Breakfast

The Three Seas Initiative Business Forum is part of the Three Seas Initiative Summit 2019 (3SI), to be held on 5-6 June 2019 in Ljubljana, Slovenia under the patronage of the President of the Republic of Slovenia, H.E. Mr. Borut Pahor and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia, H.E. Mr. Marjan Šarec.

The main organizer of the EU Macro-regional Breakfast is Facility Point Plus Project in close cooperation with the Ministry of Foreing Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia and the Chammber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia.

The Business Forum will focus on four key areas: energy, infrastructure, digital interconnectivity and innovation, which are closely connected with thematic pillars of the EU Strategy for the Adriatic-Ionian Region. Participants of the EU MRS Breakfast will exchange views on how to build synergies between the EU Macro-regional Strategies and the Three Seas Initiative and establish links with other existing EU mechanisms.

The outputs of the EU Macro-Regional Strategies Breakfast are expected to reflect participant's views concerning cross-cutting issues of strategic importance across all EU Macro-regional Strategies and tackle strategic investment projects in the region.

Around 500 representatives from the governmental and private sector are expected to attend the Forum to discuss the developmental and investment opportunities in the region within the above-mentioned priority areas.

Other participants will include high representatives of EU institutions, the 12 participating states of the Initiative, the United States, Germany, non-EU countries from Southeast Europe, European and international financial institutions as well as business people from the wider region.
